The Horticultural Trades Association estimates that there are an additional three million new gardeners in the UK following lockdown. As more of us spend time at home during the ongoing pandemic, we have turned to gardening as a way to unwind, enjoy the benefits of outdoor space with family and friends, take on gardening projects and experiment with growing our own fruit and vegetables The previous spell of home-schooling also allowed for parents to garden with their children as both a fun and educational activity.

The Scottish Garden Show will take place over three days and promises to be the perfect day out for gardening enthusiasts of all ages. Visitors can enjoy the historical setting of Scone Palace, ‘The Crowning Site of Scottish Kings’ and one of Scotland’s most prominent visitor attractions. The show will take place across the Palace Gardens including the magnificent towering conifers of the Victorian Pinetum. A line-up of top nurseries selling an assortment of plants, trade stands selling gardening products, gardening workshops, competitions, family friendly activities and a food area will be available for visitors to the show.

The event, which was originally set for June 5-6 2021, has been extended to three days to allow for additional social distancing and other Covid-19 safety measures, and will now be held across the Spring Bank Holiday on May 29-31 2021.
